Gansu Province

Chinese: 甘肃
Pinyin: Gānsù

The Great Wall in Gansu is divided into these locations:

Gansu has a relatively high average elevation. While much of its area is desert, Gansu is also the source of water for most of the Yellow River. Southern Gansu is home to the Qilianshan mountain range.

The Great Wall in Gansu covers great distances. The terrain is relatively uniform and easy to negotiate and, as a result, is not as interesting as other areas.

Gansu Province has an area of 454,000 square kilometers (175,000 square miles). Gansu has a population of nearly thirty million people. Gansu has a generally semi-arid to arid, continental climate, with warm summers and very cold winters. Most of the precipitation is concentrated in the summer months.
