Huairou Super-8 Hotel
There are several good hotels in the Huairou urban area, but I had a very satisfactory stay at the Super-8 hotel. The rooms are clean, the staff is very friendly, and the price is reasonable. It is conveniently located just a five minute walk from the Huairou bus station (40°18'56.07"N 116°38'27.97"E) or rail station (40°18'57.64"N 116°38'35.11"E). Everything you need is within a short walking distance and it’s very easy to find transportation to take you anywhere you want to go.
The hotel has 96 guest rooms. Each room has an individual heating / air-conditioning unit. Try to get a room on the top floor facing north. I stayed in room 520 and I believe it was the best room in the hotel. You can see several Great Wall locations from the room, if you know where to look,including Hefangkou, Mutianyu, Niujiaobian, Jiankou, and Moshikou.
The Super-8 Hotel Huairou provides free wireless high-speed internet access, Cable TV, 24-hour hot water, and IDD/DDD telephones. The hotel offers business services such as fax, copying, printing, and tourist information services. The hotel's restaurant offers a Chinese and Western buffet breakfast.
