If you still not agree, please have a short look at the outlet of the next, eastern valley: Again a beacon tower ( 39°14'49.79"N 99°32'9.18"E), built because of the same reasons. And I might to estimate this is also a beacon tower remnant ( 39°14'54.97"N 99°31'50.45"E), thus a pair of beacon towers guarding the valley. The second also has a wall remnant running to.
Once I will go there, no doubt.
