It is hard to find what equipment they brought from follow picture , they didn't talk too much about the path they took. ![]() I made a path of GW of east of Weiziyu as attached file , you might refer it. Can you please give me the link to the thread on the chinese forum? I would like to see all the photos.
There's a short section behind this cliff: 40° 7'43.54"N 119°29'53.66"E The third tower is at the end of the wall so it must be around here: 40° 7'52.11"N 119°29'51.16"E. The wall continues to the north/northwest of here. Based on my own observations while visiting I don't believe there is any wall here: 40° 7'53.53"N 119°30'7.28"E |

Thank you that looks very interesting. From the picture it seems they hiked trough the mountains from Weiziyu towards Huachangyu. This is the view towards Huachangyu taken from the other side of the valley, so they must have passed trough the mountains. ![]() It's a dangerous and very difficult area so it would be very interesting to see their GPS trek if they used GPS. |

![]() Due to text and picture can be uploaded to chinese forum only , it might be the reason why they didn't post any GPS related information for ten years. |

![]() The photos shows the two towers in this area (40° 9'46.34"N 119°31'15.69"E) with Yiyuankou/Banchangyu in the background. Tower six is located approx. 100 meters higher than the last Huachangyu tower and that does not seem to match the photo. More likely the photo is taken from around here (40° 9'5.72"N 119°30'23.71"E). I was thinking about a Chinese version of this forum for a long time (menues and so forth). I am sure the software supports multi-language use and I am sure we can find people to translate all the stuff. -chinoook
