Default Vaccinations, Provinces

Does anyone know of which Provinces one might pass thru while doing a thru-hike of the 'Ming Wall' - that is, from Jiayuguan to Shanhaiguan (including the wall sections leading towards North Korea)?

Any additional information about the necessary vaccinations (e.g. affects, et cetera) would also be helpful.

I've already gathered an up-to-date list from the CDC (Center of Disease Control and Prevention), though (from what I have been told) the regions play an important role in figuring out which, possibly, additional vaccinations might be required.

Peace

As of now I can venture a guess and say: Gansu, Shanxi, Shaanxi, Hebei, Liaoning, including the Autonomous Regions: Ningxia Hui and Inner Mongolia. More specifically, though, I wonder if our adventure may bring us into the Qinghai province (in the west) and the Jilin and Heilongjiang provinces (in the east)?

Gansu, Ningxia, Inner Mongolia, Shaanxi, Shanxi, Hebei, Beijing, Tianjin, Liaoning. You will not enter Jilin or Heilongjiang if you follow the Ming wall.

We should probably refrain from giving any medical advice and leave that to trained doctors. However several website also have informations regarding travel medicine. Of the several injections I received before moving to China I have not experienced any side effects.

Kim you bring up a good point. All the information that I have gathered with regards to travel within China from another country has been supplied from all the certified and licensed professionals responsible for safe and healthy travel to and within foreign lands.

Default China travel health and safety

We wouldn't want to try to reproduce the information here because it's likely subject to change. But links to the best Websites would be useful.

Here are some that I know of.

U. S. State Department — Travel Information | China information

Center for Disease Control — Travelers' Health | China information
