Does anyone know of which Provinces one might pass thru while doing a thru-hike of the 'Ming Wall' - that is, from Jiayuguan to Shanhaiguan (including the wall sections leading towards North Korea)?
Any additional information about the necessary vaccinations (e.g. affects, et cetera) would also be helpful. I've already gathered an up-to-date list from the CDC (Center of Disease Control and Prevention), though (from what I have been told) the regions play an important role in figuring out which, possibly, additional vaccinations might be required. Peace ![]() ![]() As of now I can venture a guess and say: Gansu, Shanxi, Shaanxi, Hebei, Liaoning, including the Autonomous Regions: Ningxia Hui and Inner Mongolia. More specifically, though, I wonder if our adventure may bring us into the Qinghai province (in the west) and the Jilin and Heilongjiang provinces (in the east)? We wouldn't want to try to reproduce the information here because it's likely subject to change. But links to the best Websites would be useful.
