Default Simatai Sky Bridge video

This video shows a professional, experienced guide crossing the Sky Bridge and descending the Heavenly Ladder. We do not recommend or endorse taking risks, and you are responsible for your own safety when visiting the Great Wall!

WOW!!
I would love to get to this tower on the Simatai wall, but that footage was just so scary. I don't think I could ever have the courage to go through with that climb.

Please don't try it! We would not want to lose a valuable member.

P.S. It isn't necessary to climb the Heavenly Ladder or the Sky Bridge to reach the Fairy Tower.

Ha ha, thanks for that concern and nice comment. I really wanna see this one day, so what are the other options of getting there? I will do the sky bridge one day but I think it be best if i did it once I have gotten a lot more climbing experience, lost a lil weight, and did it with other experienced climbers with the right safety equiptment

It is the usual way i found to reach to Wangjinglou(望京楼) , but I strongly to ask you to take Bryan's advice.

1. start climbing from the closest village named Tangjiazhai(唐家寨) at 40°38'48.88"N 117°18'25.71"E, it will take 1.5 hours to reach Wangjinglou(望京楼)
2. In orerd to skip sky bridge ,go down north 50 meters from Wangjinglou and turn right to take alternative way to reach Xiannvlou(仙女楼) .

Here is few pictures on the way to Tangjiazhai village and reach Wangjinglou , no picture being seen on the alternative way from Wangjinglou to Xiannvlou due to no hands to take picture i guessed.

On the way to Tangjiazhai village , right Wangjinglou and left xiannvlou on the view.

Start climbing from Tangjiazhai village

On the way of climbing , looking east

Wangjinglou appears at left side

On the Great Wall , Wangjinglou is on front view

Take a picture for Xiannvlou at Wangjinglou

Approaching Xiannvlou after take alternative path

Wow, it still looks rather tricky, but I will def research into it a bit more. Anyone here done any of the climbs? Is it possible to approach it along the wall from the east?

Ba ge Zhuang (巴各庄) , please refer the following map i copyed from Baidu,
Ba ge Zhuang marked with red circle locates at 40°38'5.66"N 117°17'43.93"E , and Tangjiazhai marked with red "A" locates at 40°38'48.88"N 117°18'25.71"E .

I was given the name of Bagezhuang by Li Shaobai, a Great Wall photographer. In 2005 I asked a driver from Simatai to take me there and it provided a path to Wangjinglou that you see in the thread Accessing closed sections of Simatai.

Looking at the locations you listed for Bagezhuang and Tangjiazhai, it seems that Tangjiazhai is closer to Wangjinglou. It also seems like the location of what I thought was Bagezhuang. Unfortunately I did not have a GPS receiver in 2005 so I cannot confirm. But I am not sure that your coordinates for Bagezhuang are correct; it was not located on the main road but was some distance to its north.
