On the Shanxi / Inner Mongolia Border. There is a short length of reconstructed wall. Lacks the historical charm of the original:

More fantastic photos! It makes me want to visit Shanxi very badly. The Great Wall is very interesting in this area.

The reconstructed Great Wall serves no purpose at all in my opinion. Rebuilding just took away the original wall in that place. What's the point?
