Qingshanguan should be located further to the northeast according to the map.

My guess is around here:

40°26'7.23"N 118°33'39.78"E

But Qingshanguan is next on my list after a trip to Huangyaguan tomorrow

Do you think Qingshankou and Qingshanguan are the same place?

Probably it's not the same. The Great Wall is located at Qingshanguan (青山关) and that is not according to your coordinates.
My map show a Qingshankou (青山口) at your location, but that is not the Great Wall.

I agree, it looks like Qingshanguan is located about where the Great Wall goes according to most of my printed maps.

I just realized that monday next week is a holiday in China because of the Dragon Boat Festival in the weekend, so I plan a trip to Qingshanguan next monday - then we will have the exact GPS position.
