The Western End of the Qin Great Wall

It is a well known fact that the westernmost point of the Qin Great Wall is located around Lintao. But it was not that easy to identify and find. We asked a lot of local people. Without a 4WD car it would not have been possible. These mountains seem so easy to access but proved to be very difficult to access. Without a 4WD this would be impossible in winter.

The wall is not very impressive, there are not more than about 100m left. It seems a question of time that even this will vanish. There are no visible towers around, a continuation is not visible. According to local farmers there is nothing left around.
