Default Is this a local end of the Great Wall

40° 9'45.69"N 115°44'55.31"E

The resolution of GE is high enough here to detect the wall if there is some. Does anyone of you see it or know in wich direction it continues to the west?

This spot is known as 笔架山长城, bi jia shan chang cheng. According to 3 printed maps I have checked, the wall stops here.

Is there any geostrategical justification?

Default Bijiashan Great Wall

I've never been able to find much information on this part of the wall. Even Hebei – The Great Wall Legacy doesn't cover it. Here is one thread on the subject and here is one article.

Maybe someone else can tell you more.

Cool Great Wall near Bijiashan

Do you think this is a fragment of Great Wall? It's hard for me to tell (see attached kmz file).

While looking in this area I also noticed an interesting item here: 40°6'10.2"N 115°43'4"E

My guess is natural.

Great find

I hope you can forgive me for questioning your findings today, but I think the forum is a great opportunity to have our idea questioned by others

No problem! If I didn't want to be refuted then I wouldn't ask
