Default Hebei map

I'm working on an improved Hebei map, including a GE guide to the book Hebei - The Great Wall Legacy.

It's a work in progress and far from finished.

Thumbs up Hebei Great Wall map

That' a really fine piece of work!

I especially like the way you have incorporated the book into your map. Nicely done.

You may want to add Pantaoyu and Hongyukou. I know you said it's still a work in progress, but I wanted to remind you.

I don't want to draw too much attention to Pantaoyu, but it might make it to an update of the map. After all I did provide the information in the first place.

To begin with I concentrate on the passes and Hongyukou does not seem like an actual pass.

Where do you publish the map?

Do you state anywhere that some of the paths are copied from the Great Wall Forum map?

Two questions.

Do you have any record showing the fortress at Heliukou? The visible wall ends here: 40° 9'42.24"N 118°52'37.09"E, where there seems to be remains of a tower. What you have marked seems more like farm work, which is also my impression after visiting the place.

Any records about this one: 40°24'31.66"N 118°27'31.07"E ?
I don't see anything there and that would be a very unusual place for a fortress.

I don't think this is the correct location of the Shenwei Tower: 40°12'10.11"N 118°43'9.63"E

The wall at Qingshanguan is located here: 40°24'19.00"N 118°32'53.02"E
