Here are some parts which are missing in your Map.

1th: http://high-iso.de/other/missing%20parts.kmz
2nd: http://high-iso.de/other/Great%20Wall.kmz
3rd: http://high-iso.de/other/more_wall.kmz

1th kmz shows the Missing Area in your Map
2nd kmz shows my Track you can use it for free

The most promising location you showed is the one around 40°29'26.10"N 116°14'7.84"E. But I am sure this is already known here and did not find it's way in our map yet (Kim? Bryan?).

As for me, neither of the locations in the "missing parts.kmz" file are in the latest revision of the complete map file for any dynasty, nor are they in my collection of items to be added to the next release. I still like them both.

Except some of the towers everything is already in the main map (Ming/Paths/Beijing/Yanqing).

Maybe we should ad some kind of version number to all the map files. That way it will be very easy to see if we use the latest version of the map.

The date (as I already stated) could serve for that. Today for exampla 09012010.

We've been using dates as versions. I had checked the file The Great Wall of China 20091204.kmz. (The purpose of putting the year first, then the month, then the day, is so that they sort in chronological order.) It does not include anything at the two locations called "Ortsmarke ohne Namen" from Luggi's "missing parts.kmz" file. 40°29'26.10"N 116°14'7.84"E was included.

When I look at the file in GE it's just called The Great Wall of China, how about changing the name to The Great Wall of China v. 1.02 or some think like that?

I normally don't save the file first. Do you see the date if the file is saved first and then opened in GE?

The kmz file should have a name with a date. The name of the node in the Google Earth "Places" tree could be named to match too if desired.

Files that are released to the public don't have version numbers, so that the new one will replace the old one, but the version number is contained in the setup (msi) file.

Yes, in the file name. Not in Google Earth.
