Hello and welcome to the forum.

That's a very personal question. For many people, it would be very easy. For others, there would be no way. Most people are somewhere in between. So this depends on your own experience and ability. What other kinds of hiking have you done? Anyway, if you're going soon, it will probably be very cold, and if you dress accordingly, your chances for success (and enjoyment) will be improved a lot. I would also consider a hiking pole or two to help keep you from slipping on the snow and ice.

Welcome to Great Wall Forum!

I visited there in the summer but I say if I can do it then you can do it! You will find in my below signature, the link showing you the story of my trip to Jinshanling and Simatai. I will never forget. A super experience.

Nothing to be afraid. Trust yourself. Other people can do, then you can do. Be ready mentally and physically and be very careful.

bring many extra camera batteries, good socks, and if your very lucky, you might find a need for a flashlight. i went to el morro in puerto rico years back, snuck into the stairwell to the cistern, but it was so dark i couldn't go more than a few yards. would have killed for a flashlight.
