Thanks for showing us your photos. They are very good and I enjoyed looking at them.

Can you tell us more about your trip to Moyashike? Where did you enter and leave? Did you get around the part (shown in your first photo) that can't be climbed, and if so, how? Did you go with Beijing Hikers? Did you see any signs of work being done on the Great Wall?

It was a hike organised by the Beijing Hikers group. We entered the wall through a path up the mountain near the MaFangTai (马方台) village. To our left we could see the XiangShuiHu (响水湖) great wall, we bypassed that more difficult part and entered via a doorway about 15 mins hike away. We ended the hike after about 2 and a half hours walk and headed back down the mountain to a small townhouse/restaurant near ShaYuBeiGou (沙峪北沟) village, on the way passing a very interesting cave in the mountain. I didnt see any signs of ant work being done to the wall itself and it was pretty much in ruins in parts and full of wildlife (I was attacked by a bird in the third tower we reached, lol), but while walking up there were about 20 workers planting new trees into the mountainside... a sign that this area will be developed in future??? Who knows. The most interesting thing about this wall was the big engraved marble slab that we found in the largest tower on the wall, I was surprised that this was still there and hadn't been stolen. Looking at the walls around indicated that it was once located in the wall on the second storey of the tower... but now there is no roof. Not entirely sure what was engraves onto the slab as my Chinese sucks, but it was something royal.
