Liujiakou information
Location: 40° 8'28.53"N 118°56'3.82"E
Chinese name: 刘家口 Pinyin name: Liú jiā kǒu English name: Liú is a family name, jiā means home or family, and kǒu means gate/gateway. The name could thus be The Gateway of the Liu home. Jiā kǒu means family members, so the name could also refer to the family members of the Liu family, however it's more likely that the name refers to the gateway. Liujiakou is mainly known for its huge cross-river watchtower.
