No, it isn't. I (with backpack) took the path the Ming soldiers used ...

Again very informative. Winter (without snow) seems to be the second best time of the year for inspecting the Wall.

Where exactly is "east of Jiashan" and the Bei Qi GW?

East of Jiaoshan is this area: 40° 2'52.20"N 119°43'47.33"E

Bei Qi GW: 40° 3'12.43"N 119°44'0.07"E

When I return from dinner I will post some more details on how to get to the top of Jiaoshan and continue east from there.

Those are some of the clearest images I have ever seen of Jiaoshan and Shanhaiguan.

I did plan to stay home Sunday, but who can stay home in that kind of weather with Jiaoshan only 90 min drive from home
