Besides what i said ,tower's dimensions was mentioned .

So far I consider this Early Ming, but it would be nice to have that confirmed.

I visited Huachangyu again today and I feel more and more convinced that this is an example of an early Ming loop, like what can be seen several other places in Hebei. The western part is more damaged so maybe the later Ming guys decided to abandon this wall and build a new wall close to the eastern part of the loop. That could also explain the early Ming beacon towers/fighting platforms inside the valley.
