Sorry if these are not exactly Great Wall images
Before or after a Great Wall climb, one of my favorite activities is browsing around the antiques and flea market in Beijing

Atop Simatai after walking up ..... I'll hop onto the cable car the next time I want to get up there LOL !!!
Just loads and loads of stuff to keep one busy for a half or whole day ...... depending if you have a whole house to re-decorate ha ha ha

....... and you dont really need a fat wallet ....
Just a note : ALMOST everything they sell are replicas and 'aged' to look like antiques....... so buy only because you LIKE the item and assume that it is NOT an antique (real antiques should best be bought at licensed antique dealers where they usually have government approved authentication services ) unless you are already a trained expert in this field
The 'real' and 'good' stuff have been authenticated and sold many years ago so 99% of the time, the items are replicas cleverly aged that I would NOT clean or scrub down just in case the dye/paint washes/peels off to reveal its modern nature LOL !!!
Having said that , I prefer browsing through the flea market / junkyard sale section of the market at the car park area where families haul out throwaways and dusty trinkets ..... where all the really interesting and weird stuff can be found .....
