Badaling in early twenty centry

GW fans in Chinese GW forum alway enjoy to find the location where the old picture took ,then took same picture to show their finding . recently , a guy shared Mr. Sidney D. Gamble's photographs in forum , and i choosed a impressed one (pic 1) , i try to find the place in GE,but no result after two day study , after reading another guy mentioned Badaling for another
picture , it hinted me Mr. Sidney would visit same place to take the picture i choosed .,then i fly to there and find (pic 2) the place Mr. Sidney D. Gamble had been !

Rephotography is pretty popular (The Great Wall Revisited) but I never thought of doing it on Google Earth. You did it well.

I haven't heard of Mr. Sidney D. Gamble and I would be interested to know more about him and see more of his photos.

Thanks or your applause,doing rephotography in GE is just fun , it will never interesting than revisiting in person .

This is really a great work of art by Sidney D. Gamble. Thanks guys for highlighting these facts and pictures. You could spend a great deal of time rephoto'ing the location of these pictures. I suspect there is a detailed log of his journeys that would make the task a lot easier.
