Just bought the GP-1 in Zhongguancun, Beijing - about 400 RMB cheaper compared to prices at home.
Still I don't understand how a simple GPS antenna can be almost the same price as a MUCH more advanced Garmin Dakota ![]() I look forward to test it on the wall and see just how much more battery the camera use with the GPS connected. |

![]() I look forward to hearing about your results with this device. I hope it works well for you. Reviews on the Web seem to be mixed.

Also look forward to your results. I've been keeping an eye on the cost of the Jobo unit for my Canon and it seems to be going up in price and not down!!

I just tried to upload a new geotaged photo to my Panoramio account. Earlier it had become very inconvenient to upload photos in the countryside, because they for some reason no longer accepted a direct GPS position input, so a lot of manual positioning was required.
With a geotaged image everything is automatic, so I'll probably begin to upload more pictures to Panoramio and thus Goggle Earth. |

Because I'd rather spend time on more important things than spending several hours geotagging my photos when it can be done automatic, and because I don't want to do a lot of work adding to Panoramios gallery - then I prefer not to.

All you have to do is to synchronize the time of your camera to GPS time, but this is not a big deal either. -chinoook
