  • Photos! Hekou photos

    The weather forecast suggested a nice clear day, unfortunately it was not but those days don't come in big numbers in this part of China anyway. A local marked blocked the road towards Shibeigou, so I headed to Hekou as an alternative.



    Only the stone wall is viable today, but remains of bricks show that this was once a brick wall. However further away from the pass no bricks seems to have been used except for the towers.

    Thanks for sharing those pictures , and this one is my favorite ,it will be included in my map, i call it Dongshengzhai(东胜寨) , hope this name was proven someday by someone.


    and this one no need to be proven obviously , it must be built on very early Ming.
