Question moderate fit parents, adventurous children

Hello from France!
We are planning a China trip around a conference in September. While in Beijing
we want to "do" the wall, but of course - like thousand others - not the tourist spots. Our four children (18 -24) want to have an adventure. After reading the posts in this forum we thought of a two day trip to JianKou Wall for them, while the parents would be satisfied to climb Jinshanling.
Can you recommand an agency for the trips?
I am looking forward to your answers

Default Jinshanling and Jiankou

The Great Wall Forum isn't associated with any business and we don't make any official recommendations. But you can see what other members have said here and here. There are many from which to choose so you would want to compare prices and services.

You may do better on your own. Base your trip to Jiankou at Zhao's hostel. The people there will gladly take you to and from the Great Wall if you want some help, but really the hiking trails are easy to follow and are also shown on our Beijing map. You can simply take a taxi from Beijing to Jinshanling and back.

Thanks for your answer.
As it is our first China experience we would like to have a guide.
I can only admire your - and other members' - adventures, but would feel better with a competent person to "show me the way". As you can find offers in a very big price range, I need some input on quality and I like the social approach mentioned in your "Awesome China Trek"-Link very much.
We have done some hillwalking in the Jura-Mountains (till 1600 m) and some in the Alps (to 2800 m) but that was always "with a little help" of a cable-car.
So I think I have some serious training to do, before we leave for China.
Have a nice day
