Book Books by 陈淮 (Chen Huai)

Today I did what since a long time was planed: I called 陈淮 in 山丹 (Shandan).
I met him at Dunhuang Mogao caves and was impressed by his books and photographs. Unfortunately I could only carry one very small book (I had 1400km to walk ...) but want to buy them now.

Some of his books:

And phototgraphs:

His web page:

I will _all_ of his books have sent to an address in Beijing. If anyone of you guys is interested in the books I can hand him any address in China and he will be glad to send it to you. If you don't have a valid address in China I can bring the books with me and send them to any given address in the world.

PS: He was very glad to get my call and wants to meet me in Shanxi on the GW later in this year. He will drive the whole way from Shandan to Shanxi ...
PPS: I gave him the web address of this odd forum. Maybe he finds a way to register here and to contribute to our knowledge.

Wow, this guy takes some really fantastic photos.

Do you know if his books are available at any of the book stores in Beijing such as the Wangfujing book store? I was thinking of going there this year just to see what I can find.

If I was in beijing looking for books I would _not_ go to Wangfujing book store. I would go for Beijing xidan tushu dasha, which is the biggest book store in Asia ...

But no, I did not see any of his books beside a souvenir shop in Dunhuang.

Thanks for that tip! The store is very conveniently located (39°54'22.38"N 116°22'20.59"E) and I will try to visit both of them in the same day.

(Wangfujing Shudian is at 39°54'30"N 116°24'20"E.)
