The book have a lot of interesting information of an area otherwise not very well described. Huludao (葫芦岛) is a prefecture-level city in Liaoning province (辽宁), bordering Hebei to the west, and Suizhong (绥中县) is the westernmost County in Huludao. In many books the Liaoning Great Wall is hardly mentioned or the Great Wall ends at Shanhaiguan.

Unfortunately a great part of the pictures in the book seems highly manipulated and they did a very bad job manipulating them.

I bought the book when I visited Jiumenkou (九门口) last year. Probably it's difficult to get the book anywhere else and only 1000 copies seems to have been made.

This beatiful and pricy booklet was handed to me by the author at Dunhuang, where he waited at a road for me. It has exceptional photographs by the author of this region where few is known in the west, e.g. the double walls at Shandan (Han dynasty wall accompanying the Ming dynasty wall only some 10 meters away).
The author has also showed me some of the Great Wall books he published (all about Gansu Great Walls, Hexi corridor etc.). I could only take this one with me because I was not able to carry more additional weight on the upcoming 1300 km along the Great Wall ...

If there is interest I could contact the author to sell us some copies and to send them to the west. I have his contact data, it is improbable that these books are being sold outside of China.
