It might be possible in the end of June or beginning of July. I go home on vacation in the end of July and in August it's just too hot to enjoy. You should try to find out when you can arrive in Tangshan and when you need to go back to Beijing from Tangshan.
I have some friends visiting from Denmark at the beginning of July, do you think this part would be good for them as their first Great Wall experience?

Even though Danish people deserves only the best, I suggest that you show them the Great Wall in Beijing.

I would suggest Jinshanling, and possibly a hike from there to Simatai.

If they want a longer hike, start at Gubeikou.

This makes you an official Great Wall Tour Guide.

Ha ha ha, don't get me started on that one, I already have people asking me to take them to this place and that place, it gets kinda annoying. Since being here in Beijing I have visited all the locations multiple times so I guess I kinda dug my own grave there, lol.
I thought about Jinshanling but my two friends are ladies who have never walked the wall so I wouldn't want them to slow me down or hold me back in any way, hahaha.... kinda selfish I know, but I wanna explore every inch. I may drag them to Simatai as I know that one is rather easy and very beautiful... or if they dont bring me chocolate then I will send them to Badaling, hahaha
