Announcement: Great Wall of China Forum members

Congratulations to the Great Wall Forum! We now have over 200 members. For a specialized, non-profit, advertising-free and non-promoted site, we think that's pretty good, especially considering we're just sixteen months old.

Thanks to everyone who has joined, and especially to those who have posted and shared with others. Hopefully the result has been better enjoyment, understanding, and appreciation of the Great Wall of China.

For those who have not posted lately (or at all), we invite you to post your questions, opinions, experiences, photos, or whatever you would like to share.

Update: As of 10 May 2009, we have over 300 members.

Update: As of 10 August 2009, we have 400 members.

Update: As of 10 November 2009, we have 500 members. I see a pattern developing here.

Update: As of 16 February 2010, we have 600 members.

Congratulations, at lot has certainly happened since I joined for forum and it keeps getting better.

If people choose to put it in their profile (like you and I have ) then their location shows on their posts. And some people mention their locations. Otherwise, no statistics are available but my impression is that they are very widely distributed - North and South America, Australia, New Zealand, Europe, Asia, South Africa, and more.

Congratulations Bryan! This is really exciting. I remember when I joined there were only about 20 people. Since then there are many more people and so many pictures and videos and stories. I think it will be a lot bigger next year too. I will still be here. Dreaming about my little visit to the Great Wall in 2008 and hoping I can go back some day. And enjoying reading about everybody else that goes there.

It took 16 months to reach 200 members and then it took less than 3 months to reach 300. That's a pretty good sign. The more members we have, the better the information should get...
